Welcome Back to School! We hope you had a wonderful and busy summer. We have had some changes in our PTA Executive Board already. Unanimously voted in as our 2009-2010 PTA President last year was our previous PTA President, Debilyn Kinzler. Sadly over the summer Debilyn accepted a full time position with a local company and felt that she could not continue as PTA President. She submitted her resignation to the board and they reluctantly accepted it. She did an amazing job for us last year and we want to thank her for her dedicated service to Dearborn. The Board held a meeting to discuss her replacement and Barbara Smith (a previous Dearborn PTA President) was appointed to fill the vacant position. Come meet Barbara at the Back to School Picnic and at our first PTA Meeting September 17th.  

The 2009- 2010 PTA Board

To our Friends and Family of Dearborn,

  I am very excited about serving as the President for the Dearborn PTA. We are going to have an amazing year.   Please join us at the Back to School Picnic, it is a wonderful opportunity to bring a picnic supper to school and meet new friends and catch up with old ones. The theme this year is "School Year's Eve", since for all of us parents, it really is the beginning of the year. We will have Jumba Juice selling drinks and the PTA will have a table set up to sell Spirit Wear, Memberships, towels and to answer questions. The YMCA and Creative Kids will also have representation to answer questions about their after and before school care programs.   Our first PTA General Association Meeting will be September 17th in the school library. We will discuss the budget and other association business. That may not sound exciting, but how we raise money and how we spend money is determined by these meetings. Your vote and voice count. Don't let other people decide for you! Come and be part of the process! We need fresh ideas and new friends.
