Mrs. Debra Hirsch, Principal

After graduating from San Diego State with my BA and my teaching credential from CSUN, I began teaching in 1985. During my 15 years in the classroom, I worked at several different schools and taught grades 1-6. I became a Literacy Coach in 2000 and worked in the LAUSD District 2 office as a Literacy Advisor.  I began my administrative career as the Assistant Principal at Columbus Avenue Elementary School. In October 2005, I was selected as the new principal at Dearborn Elementary.
I am the proud mother of two sons, Noah and Jordan. My husband David is also an elementary school principal. Our family enjoys spending time in  our backyard, traveling and going to amusement parks.

Lisa Marmon, Assistant Principal
Hi, my name is Lisa Marmon. It is an honor and a privilege to join Dearborn's learning community. My previous assignments with LAUSD since 1988 include positions as a classroom teacher (K-5), Reading Intervention Specialist, Intervention Coordinator, and Acting Assistant Principal.

I am looking forward to continuing the strong commitment toward student achievement, parent involvement, and staff development currently in place here at Dearborn. I know that through strong teamwork and commitment to excellence, students, staff, and parents will enjoy a positive, successful, and memorable school experience.
