My family and I came to the U.S., from Cuba when I was a child. I was raised in Burbank, California, until the 1994 Northridge Earthquake. While most people were moving out of Northridge, I was moving in. To this day, I live there with my husband, 3 daughters, and our dog Casey.
Although, I have been at Dearborn for a short time, I have been teaching with LAUSD for the past 7 years. I have many memorable experiences from teaching 1st grade for 5 years, and 5th grade for 2 years. My teaching credential and Masters in Education degree are from Pepperdine University. I feel very fortunate to be a part of the Dearborn family.
